Privacy policy

Last updated 23 Oct 2026

Olivia's Gastronomy ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Maltese Data Protection Act (Cap. 586).

Who we are

Olivia's Gastronomy, Triq il-Kbira, Qormi, Malta · VAT MT27830136 · info@oliviasgastronomy.com · +356 7925 3446. We are the controller of your personal data.

What we collect

  • When you order or enquire: your name, email, phone number, company and delivery address, and the details of your order or message.
  • When you join our newsletter: your email address and the date you gave consent.
  • When you browse: essential cookies to run the site and, only with your consent, analytics and marketing cookies (see our cookie policy).
  • Business contacts: publicly available business contact details of restaurants, shops and companies we may contact about trade supply.

Why we use it (legal basis)

  • To process and deliver your order — performance of a contract.
  • To answer your enquiries — legitimate interests / steps before a contract.
  • To send newsletters to private customers — consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To contact businesses about trade supply — legitimate interests; every email includes an unsubscribe link.
  • To keep accounting and tax records — legal obligation.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business — our web host, email delivery provider, payment provider (if you pay online), delivery couriers and our accountants — under appropriate data-protection terms.

How long we keep it

Order and invoice records are kept for as long as Maltese tax law requires. Enquiries and CRM notes are kept while we have a business relationship and reviewed periodically. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to processing or withdraw consent at any time by emailing us. You also have the right to complain to the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC) in Malta — idpc.org.mt.

Please review this policy with your advisor before publishing to make sure it matches how you actually work.
