Raw Greek honey in Malta — pine & oak

Pure Greek pine and oak honey — raw, unblended and never pasteurised. Dark, rich and less sweet than flower honey, in 500g and 1kg jars.

Honey

Greek honeydew honey, the way bees make it

Most of the honey on supermarket shelves is blended from several countries and heated so it stays runny. Ours isn't. Our Greek pine and oak honeys are gathered on the hillsides of Greece, then simply strained and jarred — never pasteurised and never blended.

Pine honey is a honeydew honey with a deep amber colour, a soft woody aroma and a gentle sweetness that won't overpower food. Oak honey is darker still, with malty, almost caramel notes that chefs love on cheese boards and in glazes for pork and lamb.

Ways to enjoy it

  • Over Greek yoghurt with walnuts — the classic Greek breakfast.
  • On warm bread with a slick of our extra-virgin olive oil and a pinch of sea salt.
  • With ġbejniet, feta or a mature cheese board.
  • Stirred into tea, or brushed over roasted vegetables in the last minutes of cooking.

Why does raw honey crystallise?

Crystallisation is a natural sign of real, unheated honey. If your jar sets, stand it in warm (not boiling) water for a few minutes and stir — it will turn liquid again without losing its flavour.

Honey is also one of our most popular hamper fillers and wedding favours.

Honey: your questions

Still unsure? Ask us anything.

Is your honey raw?

Yes — our Greek honey is never pasteurised and never blended. It's strained and jarred, so it keeps its natural character.

What is the difference between pine and oak honey?

Both are honeydew honeys. Pine honey is amber and softly woody; oak honey is darker, with malty, caramel-like notes and a little less sweetness.

My honey has gone solid — is it still good?

Absolutely. Crystallisation is natural in raw honey. Warm the jar gently in water and stir, and it will be runny again.

Do you deliver honey to Gozo?

Yes, we deliver across Malta and Gozo.
